Ember Search is a New York based executive search firm, on a mission to help VC-backed startups hire world-class finance leaders.

Ember Search founders Dan and Theo, approached us with the ambition to redefine how search firms show up in the market. While the industry is often associated with traditional and corporate aesthetics, they wanted to break the mould — presenting themselves as a trustworthy, connected and forward-thinking partner that resonates with the fast-moving tech startups and venture-backed companies they collaborate with. The challenge was to craft a brand identity and digital presence that would differentiate them from conventional competitors, while still maintaining the credibility expected in the financial sector.

Approach & Services

Twenty Something began by developing a visual and verbal identity that balanced professionalism and modernity — combining a refined typographic system and contemporary colour palette with confident, minimal design cues. The new brand narrative centres around clarity and connection, positioning the firm as a trusted search firm in the evolving landscape of finance and tech.

After a four week long brand development phase, we moved on to the design and development of their new website. The website experience was built to be clean, intuitive, and conversion-focused, highlighting the firm’s expertise while appealing to both clients and candidates. To support the launch, we also extended the brand across pitch decks, digital banners and social ads, ensuring consistency and impact across every digital touchpoint.

The result, a brand that went from stealth to standout. Within the first six weeks of launching, the new brand and website helped the founders secure search retainers with 10 VC-backed startups and place 20+ candidates in financial roles, validating the strategy and design direction.
